FAQs

What is Beith Hive?

Beith Hive is a registered social enterprise (SCO763709) owned by Beith Trust, set up to provide our community with top-quality out-of-school childcare for primary school aged children, based at Beith Primary School, we offer childcare to primary schools in the Garnock Valley.

Where and when does Beith HIve operate?

Beith Hive runs two clubs at Beith Primary School, our Breakfast Club from 7:30am – 9am and our after-school club from 3pm – 6pm. Both of these clubs provide creative activities, healthy snack options, and a safe, welcoming space for children to unwind before and after school time.

What is the Beith HIve Shuttle?

Our Shuttle Service is a safe, reliable transport option for children attending our Out of School Clubs.  PVG registered staff drive our 9 seater electric vehicle to and from the primary schools of the Garnock Valley to take your child from Breakfast Club to school, or picks children up from their school and brings them directly to Beith Hive for afterschool care.

What activities do you provide for the children?

We provide a range of fun, creative activities for our attendees. These can range from painting, drawing, clay modelling, card games, tag, outdoor play, music, dance, and so much more! We aim to ensure that every child’s individual needs and interests are nourished and engaged whilst they are at the Beith Hive.

How do I register my children with Beith Hive?

Registering for Beith Hive couldn’t be simpler; go to our registration page here and complete the registration form provided. Please provide as much detail as you can; including allergies, medical information, and such. Once you have completed this we will confirm you have successfully registered and provide you with a login and password for our booking system. From there you can pick your days and which club(s) you would like your child to attend.

What food does Beith Hive provide for children?

Healthy eating is a core practice and principle of Beith Hive. At our breakfast club we offer a selection of cereal, toast, bagels, pancakes, fresh fruit, water, milk, and fresh orange and apple juice. At our after-school club we provide toast, bagels, cereal, jelly, fruit, and other small snacks. If they wish to do so, your children are more than welcome to bring their own packed lunch or snack box with food from home. More information on this can be found in our lunchbox policy form.

Does Beith Hive operate over the school holidays?

The Beith Hive currently operates during term time only. During the Easter and Summer holidays, our parent charity, Beith Trust, runs school holiday activity camps at Beith Astro.  These camps offer many of the same activities your child enjoys at Beith Hive – including free play, creativity, nature play and social opportunities in a safe and fun enviornment.  for more information about holiday provision and how to book, contact us at hello@beithhive.co.uk.
