FAQs
What is Beith Hive?
Beith Hive is a registered social enterprise, owned by Beith Community Development Trust (SC043155) providing top-quality out-of-school childcare for primary school aged children at Beith Primary School.
When and where does Beith Hive operate?
Beith Hive runs two clubs; our Breakfast Club from 7:30am – 9am and our after-school club from 3pm – 6pm. Both of these clubs provide creative activities, healthy snack options, and a safe, welcoming space for children to unwind before and after school time.
What activities do you provide for the children?
We provide a range of fun, creative activities for our attendees. These can range from painting, drawing, clay modelling, card games, tag, outdoor play, music, dance, and so much more! We aim to ensure that every child’s individual needs and interests are nourished and engaged whilst they are at the Beith Hive.
How do I register my children with Beith Hive?
Registering for Beith Hive couldn’t be simpler; go to our registration page here and complete the registration form provided. Please provide as much detail as you can; including allergies, medical information, and such. Once you have completed this we will confirm you have successfully registered and provide you with a login and password for our booking system. From there you can pick your days and which club(s) you would like your child to attend.
What food does Beith Hive provide for children?
Healthy eating is a core practice and principle of Beith Hive. At our breakfast club we offer a selection of cereal, toast, bagels, pancakes, fresh fruit, water, milk, and fresh orange and apple juice. At our after-school club we provide toast, bagels, cereal, jelly, fruit, and other small snacks. If they wish to do so, your children are more than welcome to bring their own packed lunch or snack box with food from home. More information on this can be found in our lunchbox policy form.
Does Beith Hive operate over the school holidays?
The Beith Hive currently operates during term time only. During the Easter and summer holidays, we currently have activity camps which run from Beith Astro and provide much the same as Beith Hive’s normal day-to-day activities.
How much does Beith Hive cost?
Our morning sessions cost £6 per child and our afternoon sessions cost £11 per child. Child tax credit and government scheme is allowed to be used towards this cost. Please contact us for terms and conditions.
